Michelle Elman is a body confidence coach, author of ‘Am I Ugly?’ and creator of the ‘Scarred Not Scared’ movement. When she launched the campaign, Michelle used an image of herself in a bikini to showcase all of her scars and promote body positivity.
During this conversation we discuss her 13 surgeries from age 1 up until aged 19, her journey of body confidence, her experience of dying in a hospital bed and then coming back to life, the process of writing her book, the abuse she suffered at the hands of a teacher and why laughter has always been a medicine for her.
It’s a really powerful episode that I know you are going to enjoy!
